Beaufort Pirate Invasion
Pirates attack the Beaufort historic waterfront by land and sea. For two full-days Beaufort is overrun with pirates, wenches, privateers and scallywags. These nefarious characters dressed in historical period attire from the 17th and early 18th centuries, engaging in battles, bursting into song and recruiting aspiring pirates, young and old. The mayhem begins on Friday with sword fighting, cannons blaring, pillaging, and plundering. There will be storytelling, sea chanteys, cutlasses and black powder weapons displayed in the pirate encampment.
Featured in USA Today, the Beaufort Pirate Invasion is a reenactment of when Beaufort was attacked by pirates in the 1700s.
The events take place at Gallants Channel this year. Adult General Admission Tickets (for the entire weekend) are $10 per person. Children under 12 are free.
