Rachel Carson Ballroom
Divisible into four sections, the Rachel Carson Ballroom is the premier meeting space in Carteret County with 4,378 square feet of function space. It accommodates 300 people for a seated dinner or standup receptions for 500. Rachel Carson Ballroom Salons
Appropriately named after the marshes on Rachel Carson Reserve , Horse Island, Bird Schoal, Carrot Island, and Town Marsh are the names of each of the four salons of the grand ballroom. Just outside the Rachel Carson Ballroom, this pre-function space provides additional flexibility for your event.The unique indoor and outdoor space is 2,850 square feet of flexible function space for cocktail receptions, registration and tabletop displays. Located on the banks of Taylor’s Creek, the Outdoor Pavilion offers over 1,100 square feet of function space with beautiful views of Rachel Carson Reserve, home to over 30 wild horses. This venue provides one-of-a-kind opportunities for meetings, receptions, weddings, ceremonies, dinners, and team building. With views of Rachel Carson Reserve and Taylor’s Creek, the Shackleford Room offers an abundance of natural sunlight. Located on the second floor of the BoatHouse Marina, the Marlin room offers 1,080 square feet of event space and can accommodate 80 people for a seated event and receptions for 140.
