On Thursday, December 17, 2026, at 6 PM, the Menhaden Whisky Society celebrates 93 years since the end of Prohibition with a special evening of Remus Bourbon at 34° North Restaurant.
And we’re bringing a little speakeasy style to the celebration.
Dress the Part!
Break out your best Prohibition era or speakeasy attire. Flappers, fedoras, suspenders, pearls, bow ties and 1920s glamour are encouraged—and our Best Dressed guest will win a special prize from Remus!
Meet Ian Stirsman
Our Remus tasting will be guided by special guest Ian Stirsman. Ian is the Master Distiller with Ross & Squibb Distillery. He is responsible for guiding the product development process for new innovation and annual limited releases, holding customers' barrel picks and distillery visits, and building brand awareness of the distillery and its brands.
Executive Chef Tyler Smith and our 34° North culinary team will present three chef-crafted small plates, each thoughtfully paired with a Remus expression:
