A Coastal Rink Where Holiday Magic Takes Center Ice
We Open for the Season!
The Beaufort Hotel lawn transforms into a charming outdoor synthetic ice rink beside the historic Menhaden Net Reel, inviting guests of all ages and skill levels to glide, wobble, and twirl beneath the coastal sky. Each public skating session lasts 45 minutes, and real rental skates are available.
Off the rink, guests can indulge in the Frostbite Menu, featuring seasonal small plates and icy cocktails served daily, with complimentary valet parking offered with any food or drink purchase. This festive experience blends coastal elegance with holiday sparkles, making it a perfect winter escape for families, couples, and anyone seeking a little magic in Beaufort.

Wobble Down Front 5K & Fun Run - 8AM
The 4th Annual Wobble Down Front 5K Race and 1 Mile Fun Run on Thanksgiving Day. This is a Turkey Trot like no other!
The race takes runners (and walkers) down historic Beaufort's beautiful waterfront and concludes in the center of town with an award ceremony and festive celebration.
Help support our schools! Whether you're racing or strolling, all proceeds from the race directly benefit the students at Beaufort Elementary School, Beaufort Middle School and East Carteret High School. The Beaufort Hotel and 34° North Restaurant are proud sponsors.
Last year, the turnout reached over 300 participants and raised over $10,000—so lace up and join the fun! 8 AM – 12 PM. Registration Fees are $28.00.

Located inside the Beaufort Hotel, 34° North Restaurant serves up a Thanksgiving à la carte dinner that blends seasonal warmth with coastal flavor.
Gather around the table for Thanksgiving overlooking Taylor’s Creek. Our culinary team will present a special a la carte holiday menu featuring seasonal favorites and coastal flavors.
Featured entrées include Organic Roast Turkey, Peppercorn-Rubbed Prime Rib, Local Pan-Seared Grouper, and Roasted Delicata Squash.
Breakfast is available from 8 - 11 AM, and the dinner menu runs Noon to 9 PM. With complimentary valet parking and a cozy ambiance, it’s a must for holiday dining.

Locals and visitors will gather for the Christmas Tree Lighting and Caroling, a beloved tradition that officially kicks off the holiday season.

Kick off the weekend on Friday night with Todd Barnes. Known for his band Todd Barnes and the Wild Hares, Todd will perform as a solo act and typically features classic rock, upbeat covers, and crowd-pleasing favorites.
Settle into Saturday with The Will & Tony Show (shown above), delivering a genre-spanning blend of acoustic soul, saxophone flair, and crowd-favorite classics. From heartfelt melodies to celebratory grooves, their live performance is the perfect soundtrack to your weekend. Weekend music takes place from 8 – 11 PM.

Don’t miss the Olde Beaufort Farmers’ Market, where over 60 vendors offer handmade goods, fresh produce, and local art under the live oaks. The market is held on the grounds of the Carteret County Courthouse from 9 AM – 1 PM.
Grunch, a whimsical holiday brunch with the Grinch

The Beaufort Hotel invites you to join us at 34° North Restaurant for Grunch—a whimsical holiday brunch with the Grinch himself.
